James M. Cavin
Mr. Cavin focuses on Creditors’ Rights and Collection in litigation against large-scale commercial debtors and in managing high volume consumer debt collection litigation for the firm’s credit union clients. Prior to joining Thompson O’Brien in 2006, Mr. Cavin spent eight years in the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s office where he focused primarily on felony criminal prosecution. Mr. Cavin has also developed substantial expertise in government law and civil rights defense.Mr. Cavin retired from the USMC Reserves after twenty years of service including service during Desert Shield/Desert Storm and in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
