Experience

Michael began his legal career with King & Spalding LLP, where for three years he worked on the firm’s public finance team, helping cities and counties throughout Georgia with their capital finance needs. While at King & Spalding, he also worked with the firm’s governmental affairs team. In 2009, he was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.

In 2003, Michael served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Denise Majette. He has previously worked as a legislative assistant in the Washington, D.C. offices of Senator Sam Nunn and Senator Max Cleland, where he specialized in defense and national security matters, working extensively with the Senate Armed Services Committee. He has taught National Security Law at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and was a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
